He then graduated from The George Washington University in Washington DC with an MA in International Affairs and an International Business MBA. Joe began his career with USA TODAY. After three years, he moved to Zurich, Switzerland where he served for nearly seven years in the corporate insurance industry with The Zurich Group and Swiss Re. After that time he moved back to Tennessee where he started his entrepreneurial journey in healthcare. Additionally, he was a Co-Founder and the initial Board Chair for Cornerstone Academy (which later expanded into Lakeway Christian Academy), a K4-12 private Christian school in East Tennessee. Joe has traveled extensively around the globe for various business and ministry purposes. He highly values time with his family and enjoys music, snow-skiing, and international travel. It is Joe’s vision that Southern Orthocare would make a positive impact not only on their patients' health, but also their hearts and lives. Joe states, "We give hope on many levels, and our hope comes from the Creator of the universe."
