Chad Overcash, CPO, LPO-TN/KY

Sr. ABC Prosthetist/Orthotist and Clinic Manager, Morristown & Middlesboro

Chad Overcash serves as the Clinic Manager for Prosthetics & Orthotics for Southern Orthocare's Morristown office. He is an ABC Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist and completed his graduate studies in both prosthetics and orthotics at The Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago in 2012. Prior to joining Southern Orthocare, Chad served for 3 and a half years as the Clinic Manager for a Hanger clinic in Monroe, NC. He specializes in microprocessor technology and is passionate about working with his patients to maximize their mobility potential. Chad and his wife Tiffany are new to Morristown, and have 1 year-old son, Austin. He is looking forward to serving patients in the Lakeway region. In his spare time, Chad likes to play softball and spend time with his family.

Linda Johnson, CPed, CFo, LPed-TN/KY

ABC Pedorthist and Orthotic Fitter

Linda has been with Southern Orthocare for several years and provides care to hundreds of diabetic patients in East Tennessee and Southeast Kentucky who need diabetic shoes and custom inserts to protect their feet. She oversees the fabrication of all custom inserts which are made in the Southern Orthocare lab using automated state-of-the-art carving technology. She also serves as the Safety Officer. Linda has an Associate of Applied Science degree with an emphasis in Computer Networking from Walter State Community College. She enjoys photography, cross-stitching, reading, and collecting thimbles. Linda is also a cancer survivor. Since battling the disease, she looks at life in a totally different way. She feels blessed to be part of a team where she can help others daily.

Billy Love, BOCP, LP-KY

Prosthetist & Amputee Advocate

William "Billy" Love is a Prosthetist and Amputee Advocate with Southern Orthocare. As a bilateral amputee himself since the age of five, Billy understands first-hand what the patient with limb loss experiences. He is a peer support visitor with the Amputee Coalition of America and has over 40 years of experience with amputee patients. In 2012, Billy was certified by BOC as a Prosthetist, and secured a license in KY to practice prosthetics. He serves as the Clinical Prosthetist in our Middlesboro, KY office. In 1974 Billy walked on and played football at the University of Tennessee, where he obtained his BS degree in Biology. Billy loves to play bluegrass music, specifically the stand-up bass. He has also served the community as Chief Deputy Coroner. Billy brings joy and hope everywhere he goes! His philosophy is, "Ain't nothing gonna come up today that me and the Lord can't handle."

Cassidy Rice

Prosthetic & Orthotic Resident

Cassidy is a recent graduate of Northwestern University’s Master’s of Prosthetics and Orthotics program. She serves as the P&O resident at Southern Orthocare, assisting and learning from Chad, Tom, and Linda in the Morristown, Athens, and Middlesboro clinics. Cassidy has a Bachelor’s degree from Georgia College & State University where she was a member of the softball team. As a native of Southern Illinois, Cassidy is new to E. TN and is excited to have the opportunity to learn and grow in a new part of the country. She is passionate about helping individuals live their “best life”. In her spare time, Cassidy enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying fit, volunteering and travelling.

Emily Martin

Mike Vanek

Sr. Prosthetic & Orthotic Technician

Mike is a ABC Certified Orthotic and Prosthetic technician as well as a ABC Certified Orthotic Assistant. He has several years of experience in the P&O field since beginning his career working for a Shriners Hospital for Children in 1996. He brings a high level of attention to detail to the Southern Orthocare team, and passionately enjoys helping patients. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and the great outdoors.

Shannan Cook

Prosthetic & Orthotic Technician, Athens & Knoxville

Shannan serves as the Prosthetic and Orthotic Technician for the Athens and Knoxville clinics. She has over 15 years of experience in the industry, specifically working for Fillauer, one of the leading O&P companies in the world. While at Fillauer, Shannan specialized in building upper extremity prosthetics (body powered, electric, and passive) as well as prosthetics for lower limbs. She is passionate about helping people. In her spare time, Shannan loves to spend time – especially outdoors – with her husband, children, and their pets.

Sara Hill

Pedorthic Technician

Sara joined Southern Orthocare in July of 2020 as a Lab Technician and specializes in the fabrication of diabetic and other custom inserts. She is also responsible for shipping and receiving, inventory management, and other duties. Sara comes from the manufacturing field, with experience in quality control, visual inspection and the use of many different types of machinery and tools. She likes to spend her free time together with family and friends, but mostly enjoys spending time with her young son, the “light of her life.” Her hobbies include crocheting, working puzzles and cooking.

Ronnie Moon

Pedorthic Technician

Ronnie is a native of Morristown and has served in multiple roles with Southern Orthocare since 2011. Currently he is working in the lab as a Pedorthic Technician. He cares greatly about providing a quality product for each patient and is a valuable member of the team. Prior to joining Southern Orthocare, Ronnie served in industrial sales for most of his career. In his spare time, he loves to play golf and spend time with his wife and grandkids.
